As attacks on schools, students, and teachers escalate globally, how do we talk to children about these atrocities with empathy, courage, and clarity?
This Teach For All EiE Community call honours Protecting Education from Attack Day by spotlighting how educators, authors, and allies are helping children understand conflict — not through silence or fear, but through stories, truth-telling, and inclusive language.
We’ll hear from teachers in conflict-affected contexts about how they hold space for difficult conversations in the classroom — and from allies creating children’s books and tools that ‘normalize’ conflict without numbing children to injustice. Together, we’ll explore how to prepare young people to become compassionate, critical leaders — and how to equip ourselves to guide them.
