Educación en Emergencias en las Américas
¿Por qué una comunidad de EiE centrada en Latinoamérica?
Hemos observado que nuestros países enfrentan desafíos únicos y recurrentes, como la interrupción de clases debido a fenómenos climáticos extremos, desastres naturales y la compleja problemática de la violencia y los conflictos armados internos. En Latinoamérica, sabemos que cada país de la región enfrenta sus propias crisis, por lo que queremos conocer el contexto de su país y región para crear un espacio dedicado donde podamos:
- Compartir aprendizajes y recursos específicos de la región.
- Desarrollar acciones de respuesta coordinadas.
Esta comunidad está dirigida a docentes, alumni y staff de la región de las Américas que trabajan o se dedican con pasión a apoyar a niños y niñas afectados por situaciones de emergencia. Entendemos por niñ@s refugiados, desplazados, que viven en zonas de conflicto o posconflicto, o que se ven afectados por otras circunstancias extremas como desastres naturales, cambio climático, etc. Nuestra comunidad se enfoca en compartir recursos y estrategias para apoyar a estudiantes y docentes afectados por crisis en la región. Nos reunimos regularmente en videollamadas y tenemos un grupo de WhatsApp. Conoce más.

This community is for network staff, alumni, fellows, and student leaders involved in climate education, innovation and advocay. Our community is focused on learning together, sharing, and taking meaningful action.
We engage through monthly community calls, regular community workshops, and a vibrant WhatsApp group. Our monthly community newsletter shares stories of Community members, and shares resources and exciting opportunities for engaging in climate education and leadership.

Global Education in Emergencies (EiE) Community
This community is for network teachers, alumni and staff who are working in or are passionate about supporting children impacted by emergency situations. We define this as children who are refugees, internally displaced, living in conflict or post-conflict zones, or who are affected by other extreme circumstances such as natural disasters, climate change, etc.
Our community is focused on sharing resources and strategies to support crisis-affected students and teachers, including refugees. We meet monthly on virtual calls and use our Facebook group for ongoing collaboration and updates.
