Leading from Lived Experience Fellowship
Deadline
Apr 07
May 19, 2026 to October 13, 2026
Estimated time commitment: 10 two-hour calls with independent work across 6 months and an in-person event for 3.5-4 days (~55 hours)
A global six-month fellowship that brings together diverse leaders—including partner staff, alumni, and global organization staff members—who have experienced inequity in personal or community contexts. The journey grows inner leadership, nurtures wellbeing, and fosters a safe, supportive peer community through 10 virtual sessions and an in-person immersion in Johannesburg, South Africa. Fellows deepen their understanding of how centering lived experiences and contextual insights can expand their capacity to influence, inspire, and act as powerful multipliers for equity in their own contexts and beyond. If you’re interested in joining us, learn more in our flyer in English, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
This is for you if you are a Network Partner Staff, Global Organization Staff, or Alumni who bring leadership perspectives shaped by a first-hand understanding of systemic inequity. These experiences manifest differently across various global contexts. Applicants are invited to share how their leadership has been informed by navigating challenges such as:
- Socio-economic circumstances or financial hardship.
- Systemic barriers related to racial, ethnic, or tribal context.
- Navigating discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation.
- Other significant life challenges that are most relevant to your specific context.
*This opportunity is application-based. Before submitting your application please ensure your Teach for All network partner organization (participants and alumni) or manager (partner staff) is aware of your application*
This opportunity will be held in English, with interpretation and/or translation to Arabic - العربية, French - français, Portuguese - português, Russian - русский, and Spanish - español. If you need live interpretation of the experience and/or translation of materials in additional languages to support your engagement, please indicate this via the registration/application form. We welcome all requests and will work to provide appropriate language support measures. However, please understand that we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
