Girls Education Community

What is the Global Girls’ Education Community?

The Global Girls’ Education Community unites passionate educators, alumni, and partner staff across the Teach For All network. Its purpose is to amplify voices and strengthen local practices through global insights to address gender-based challenges. This virtual hub fosters alumni leadership and collaboration through WhatsApp engagement and bi-monthly Zoom “Community Learning Series” calls. Additionally, the “Let Girls Thrive Fund” supports network partners via quarterly learning exchanges. Our goal is ensuring every girl can fulfill her potential.

When was this community started?

Established in 2019, this community was created to amplify advocates' voices and impact using global resources, fostering leadership to address gender-based challenges and strengthen local practices across the network.

How do community members learn from and support each other?

Members connect via WhatsApp for peer engagement and support. We also meet bi-monthly on Zoom for the Community Learning Series, featuring guest speakers and collaborative discussions to share knowledge and strengthen our collective advocacy for girls' education.

What is the criteria for joining?

Admissions are open year-round. The community is open to anyone from the network interested and committed to advancing girls’ education and gender equity in their community. Greater preference is placed upon those who have completed the Global Girls’ Education Fellowship. To join, simply fill out the community membership form.

The girls I serve have never needed saving, they have needed systems, spaces, and people who believe in them without condition. Being part of a community that understands that distinction has made me a sharper advocate and a more honest leader.
