In this call, we explore the complex role of Artificial Intelligence in advancing climate education. From using AI models to understand climate patterns, to developing contextualized resources, to co-designing student-led climate projects, we will examine how this technology can be leveraged to accelerate climate education and leadership. Crucially, we will discuss the core paradox: while AI offers immense potential for climate action, its growing energy footprint that exacerbates the climate crisis poses a significant challenge. Together, we will reflect on how to navigate this tension responsibly and imagine pathways where AI supports, rather than undermines, a sustainable future.
This call will take place on October 9th at 3:00pm GMT and will be held in English, with the option for attendees to request translation and/or interpretation in additional languages.
