Estimated time commitment: 60 minutes

How do we keep children safe while we continue to experiment with AI in our classrooms?

Join educators from across the Teach For All network for a live community conversation on child safety in the age of AI.

Over the past few months, students and educators from the AI LCC helped shape Child Safety in the Age of AI, a document created to spark reflection and conversation among educators. In this session, you will hear from students and fellow educators about how AI is showing up in their lives and classrooms, explore key ideas such as what information should and why students need a clear way to raise concerns, and join a small group conversation on the challenge that matters most to you.

Date: Wednesday, 2 December 2026
Time: 2:00 p.m. UTC (9:00 a.m. New York, 11:00 a.m. Buenos Aires, 3:00 p.m. Lagos, 4:00 p.m. Beirut, 5:00 p.m. Nairobi, 7:30 p.m. New Delhi)
Format: 60-minute live session on Zoom. The main session will be recorded. Small group conversations will not be recorded.
Audience: Teachers, coaches, school leaders, Fellows, and alumni across the Teach For All network, including members of the AI LCC

During this call you will:

  • Hear real stories from a student and educators about how AI is showing up in classrooms and in young people’s lives
  • Reflect on key ideas such as what information should and should not go into an AI tool, a simple routine to pause before using AI with student information, and why students need a clear way to raise concerns
  • Discuss in small groups one of several key topics, such as: using AI safely without a school policy or school-managed tools; harmful or biased outputs, deepfakes, and students turning to AI for emotional support; and responsible design when building and sharing your own AI tools with students
  • Share what is working in your context and what support you need, to inform the next version of the document

This opportunity will be held in English. If you need live interpretation of the experience and/or translation of materials in additional languages to support your engagement, please indicate this via the registration/application form. We welcome all requests and will work to provide appropriate language support measures. However, please understand that we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
