What is the Global Social Entrepreneur community?
The Teach For All Global Climate Education and Leadership Community is an inclusive global “learn, share & act” space of network alumni, fellows, partner staff, and friends who are connected in their passion for climate action and environmental sustainability. Collectively, we are driven by the desire to prepare students to shape a better future in the face of the climate crisis.
When was this community started?
This community was created in 2021, aiming to infuse climate education and leadership throughout the system by building a force of teacher, student, and alumni leaders who foster climate-mindedness and resilience in rising generations.
How do community members learn from and support each other?
Members of this Community connect and learn from each other, including through monthly community calls, monthly email updates, the climate champions learning series, and regular community workshops. Members can also initiate working groups and joint activities in specific areas of climate education and advocacy.
What is the criteria for joining?
This community is open to everyone with a climate lens—including network fellows, alumni, staff, and students, as well as friends and partners outside the network looking to further their climate education and leadership.
We believe in the power of collective action and welcome new members who share this commitment at any time of the year.

We keep talking about the incoming climate disaster as if it’s something ahead of us, but it is already here. Our communities and students are already being affected. That is why it is important not to see them as victims, but as the protagonists of the solutions. Since before civilization, it was community that allowed us to survive. We learned to care for one another, organize ourselves, and move forward together. It is that same sense of community that we need today to face the greatest challenge of our time, climate change. To build a resilient present and future, we must cultivate everyone´s leadership. Real leadership is not exercised in isolation, but in community.
