Tahiya Islam

Tahiya Islam is the Country Manager at HerWILL Bangladesh, a subsidiary of the HerWILL non-profit based in Atlanta, USA, dedicated to providing global STEM opportunities and fostering future tech leaders. Committed to achieving UN SDG5 (Gender Equality) by 2030, she works to break gender biases and create inclusive spaces.

She is a Teach For All Climate Change Fellow and has also completed a Mental Health Advocacy Fellowship with Psycure. As the vice chairman of Aim Initiative Foundation, she has over seven years of experience leading nonprofit initiatives in Bangladesh. During her Teach for Bangladesh fellowship, she managed two capstone projects on sexual harassment and bullying, engaging 200+ students and impacting over 2,000 community members. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Educational Leadership & School Improvement at BRAC University.
