Flora is a 2007 Teach For America alumna and current elementary school early childhood special education and ESL teacher. She was a founding LEGO Robotics club coach, piloted STEM Computer Coding Nights through a partnership with Deloitte & Touche Consulting, and served on a two-year Global Studies teacher leadership team with Harvard’s Project Zero at her current school. Flora contributed her years of special education experience to the Teach For All Learning Differences Fellowship in exploring how students who learn differently from the norm can still flourish in different educational settings with holistic supports and Universal Design for Learning across various cultural contexts in a variety of countries. She’s passionate about providing her students with fresh opportunities to expand their worlds while encouraging them to take charge of shaping their own destinies and hopes that her collaborations with fellow Network Connectors will create boundless possibilities for learners of all ages worldwide.
